ClearView Portal (CVP) — Overview & Navigation Guide
Overview
The ClearView Portal (CVP) is where clients manage and monitor their WealthTechs data services.
It is the main place clients go to add and manage custodian interfaces, add accounts to existing
interfaces, and check whether those interfaces are running correctly.
CVP is also where clients:
- Track interface status and service health
- Group and filter accounts
- View API access and integration status
- Manage users (administrator only)
CVP does not directly process data. All requests made in CVP are reviewed and executed by
WealthTechs to ensure governance, auditability, and consistency.
How ClearView Is Organized
ClearView is organized around a left-hand navigation menu. Each top-level menu item represents
a major area of responsibility. Sub-items under each section provide more specific views or actions.
This document explains what each area is for. Step-by-step instructions are covered in later sections.
Navigation Overview (Left-Hand Menu)
Status
The Status section shows the current state of active interfaces.
- Whether interfaces ran successfully
- Interface state (waiting, delayed, verify, failed, success, holiday)
- Expected vs actual run timing
This is the primary place to confirm that interfaces are operating as expected.
Custodians
The Custodians section is used to manage custodian interfaces.
- View existing (licensed) custodian interfaces
- See which custodians are available to be added
- Track interface setup and production states
New custodian interfaces are typically initiated here.
Accounts
The Accounts section is where users manage accounts within existing interfaces.
- View accounts tied to custodian interfaces
- Add accounts to interfaces
- Group accounts
- Filter accounts and groups
- Import accounts and group members in bulk
Most day-to-day configuration work happens in this section.
Issues
The Issues section shows support issues that have been logged with WealthTechs.
- View issue details
- Track progress and current status
Issues are read-only in CVP. New issues are raised outside the portal.
Users (Administrator Only)
The Users section is only visible to ClearView Portal Administrators.
- Create and manage CVP users
- Assign roles and permissions
- View user security attributes
If a user does not see the Users menu, this is expected and means they are not an administrator.
API
The API section provides visibility into integration access and service health.
- View API tokens (role-dependent)
- Check API service status tied to active interfaces
This section supports downstream platform and system integrations.
Minimize Menu
The Minimize Menu option collapses the navigation to provide more screen space while keeping
icon-based access.
Role-Based Visibility
- All users see: Status, Custodians, Accounts, Issues, API
- Administrators only see: Users
Menu visibility is intentional. Missing menus indicate restricted access, not an error.
What Happens Next in This Guide
The sections that follow go deeper into each area, including:
- What each sub-menu does
- How to submit requests
- How interface and account changes move to production
- How filters, groups, and API access affect downstream data
This page is meant to help users understand where they are and where to go before getting into details.
User Profile
The User Profile screen is where each ClearView user manages their own personal settings.
These settings apply only to the logged-in user and do not affect other users or system behavior.
Accessing Your Profile
You can access your User Profile by clicking your name in the top-right corner of the screen and opening your profile.
Identity Settings
This section displays your core identity information, including your username and email address. You can also review or
update your first and last name and add an alternative email address.
Security-related controls are located here, including:
- Two-factor authentication (2FA) status
- The option to change your password
Portal Settings
Portal Settings control how ClearView behaves when you log in.
- Set your default landing page (for example, Status)
- Select your default customer context, if applicable
These settings affect only your own user experience.
User Info
User Info contains optional profile and contact details such as:
- Company and title
- LinkedIn or Skype
- Phone and mobile number
This information is informational only and does not control access or permissions.
App Settings
App Settings control small usability preferences for the ClearView interface, including:
- Whether the screen closes automatically after saving
- Whether sections appear collapsed by default
- Clearing locally saved browser preferences
Clearing local and session storage only resets saved UI preferences in your browser. It does not affect data, interfaces,
or user permissions.
All changes made in the User Profile apply only to your user account.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
ClearView Portal uses two-factor authentication (2FA) to protect user accounts and client data. All users are strongly
encouraged to enable 2FA, and in many cases it may be required.
When 2FA is enabled, you will complete a one-time setup using an authenticator app.
Enabling 2FA
- Install an authenticator app on your mobile device (for example, Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator).
- In ClearView, open the 2FA setup screen and scan the QR code using your authenticator app.
If scanning is not possible, manually enter the provided setup key. Letter casing and spaces do not matter. - Your authenticator app will generate a one-time verification code.
- Enter the verification code in ClearView and confirm to complete setup.
Once verified, 2FA will be active for your account.
Using 2FA
- You will be prompted for a verification code during login.
- Codes are generated by your authenticator app and refresh automatically.
- Each code is valid for a short time and can only be used once.
Important Notes
- 2FA applies only to your user account and cannot be shared.
- If you change devices, you may need to set up your authenticator again.
- If you lose access to your authenticator, contact your ClearView administrator or WealthTechs support.
2FA significantly improves account security and should be enabled by all users.

Data Grids (How ClearView Works)
Most screens in ClearView use a shared data grid layout. Once you understand how one
grid works, you can use them all.
Rather than documenting every button and interaction in text, we recommend watching the short
video below. It explains how data grids behave across ClearView and will save you time.
Watch First
ClearView Data Grids — How to Use Them
Watch the video
This video covers:
- How to read grid rows and columns
- Sorting and searching
- Filtering data
- Selecting rows to enable actions
- Customizing columns
- Exporting data
Key Things to Know
- Data grids behave the same across Status, Custodians, Accounts, Issues, and API views
- Most actions require selecting one or more rows first
- Filters and column changes affect only your view, not other users
- Grid settings are saved per user and browser
If something feels familiar from another ClearView screen, that is intentional.
Watch the video once and you will know how to work across the entire portal.
Status
The Status section is the main place to check whether your interfaces are running as expected.
It provides a daily operational view across all active custodian interfaces.
Most users start their day here.
What You Use Status For
Use the Status screen to:
- Confirm interfaces have run successfully
- Identify delays or failures
- Check expected vs actual run timing
- See which interfaces may require attention
Status answers one simple question: “Is everything running?”
How the Status Grid Is Organized
Each row in the Status grid represents a customer–custodian interface for a given run period.
The grid shows high-level operational signals only. Detailed configuration and requests happen in other sections.
Key Columns
Common columns you will see include:
- Custodian – The custodian tied to the interface
- Customer – The client or entity using the interface
- AC – Number of active accounts on the interface
- AUM – Assets under management for the interface
- ETA – Expected time the interface should run
- APT – Actual time the interface ran
Interface Status Values
Each interface displays a current status:
- Waiting – The interface is waiting for its scheduled run window.
- Success – The interface ran successfully.
- Verify – The interface ran, but the results are under review by WealthTechs.
- Delay – The interface did not run at the expected time.
- Failed – The interface encountered an error and requires acti
